President-Elect Obama & FDR

President-Elect Obama should model his relief/assistance programs after FDR because FDR was "a good man" and served as a successful president. Like Roosevelt, Obama is an optimistic man whose main concern is to improve our nation for the better. In order for Obama to help get us out of this recession, he could mimic many of FDR's past plans, such as creating public work programs (since many people are now out of jobs due to the economy and recent law past about no longer having dog races). What Obama needs is to create a structured plan on how he plans on attacking these matters. He needs to know his goal, and work for it, unlike Roosevelt who often just went with the flow and did not have a structured plan on how to end the depression. I believe if Obama models FDR's relief/ assistance programs then it would help us get out of a recession, because after all history repeats itself, so let's learn from our past and change it now!!!
