Famous Quote

"Far and away the best prize that life offers is the chance to work hard at work worth doing. "

-Theodore Roosevelt
~ Roosevelt is portraying that we all have one life to live, and we should embrace the chances we get in life and live them to the fullest. Life's gift to us, is to work, and Roosevelt states we should work hard at something worth while, rather than wasting our lives working towards something that is meaningless.
~ I appreciate this quote because I strongly agree with Roosevelt. Life is a gift, and we should cherish it, and get the most out of it we can. Theodore Roosevelt was a very inspirational man, and this quote illustrates one of his main beliefs, which I support all the way.

SPANISH ATTACK U.S. BATTLESHIP

People of the United States! Today, The U.S. Battleship "Maine" has been attacked by the Spanish. It is understood that the ship that once was sent to Cuba to protect American lives and property, has been bombed by these heartless people. Over 250 men that were on board the ship died instantly from the explosion. Although they sent investigators to determine how the "Maine" was bombed, it is clear to every American that the enemy here is the Spanish. They are ruthless, untrustworthy, lieing, people of whom we wish never to be associated with. We need to stand strong, and "remember the Maine", and fight for its right.
